While Turtleboxes are 100% waterproof, they do require a bit of extra care after being in salt water, sand, or dirt all day. Read the below information on what the breather is. Then follow the below steps or watch the attached video to ensure your Turtlebox doesn't skip a beat this year!
What is the "Breather?"
The Breather is a small hole on the back of the speaker. Due to the Turtlebox being airtight sealed, this hole allows for air within the speaker to escape, without letting water in. Make sure you never put a sticker, wrapping, or any sort of covering over this hole.
How to clean the Breather:
With the charging port door closed, give your speaker a gentle bath in fresh water
Be sure to get into all of the crevices, especially the Breather hole on the back. See photo below for where it’s located on the box:

*you don't need to pressure wash the Breather, a gentle spray will do*
Give the box a good shake around, getting any remaining salt or sand particles out
Dry the area around the charging port door with a towel
Open the charging port door, and let your Turtlebox air dry. Note that full pressure relief can take up to 24 hours if build up has occurred.
